Hi, I am Meyly!

I'm a natural light newborn, family and maternity photographer based in Atlanta GA.

I’m a Honduran immigrant living in Southwest Atlanta with my sweet husband and a wild toddler.

Most days you can find me daydreaming in the middle of my garden, cooking meals without recipes, or spending time with my family.

I believe in love and laughter and family and photographs to bring you back in time to feel the love all over again.

My photography journey started pretty early on in my teenage years, with all the disposable cameras and then a million point and shoots I used to photograph my family, and all the flowers and sunsets and pockets of light in the middle of the forest. Basically everything.

I never thought of it as a career until 6 years ago when I saw an ad for a newborn photographer at a hospital and applied. I got the job and honestly, when I wasn't at work, I was dreaming of work. I loved every minute of it. While the sleepy newborns and their tiny toes were my introduction to photography it didn't take long until I started photographing families, and couples and the rest is history.

At first family photography used to intimidate me, I felt like I had so little control over what pictures I was going to get! Now, a few years on, that is precisely what I LOVE about it! With kids, you just never know what you're going to get, and I love that surprise element! This is why I have adopted a documentary-style approach in how I photograph families. There's a time and place for a photo of everyone looking at the camera, but I believe that the most valuable photographs are those that manage to capture a little bit of personality as well!
